So its called a Deck panel for a TR7, the progress so far...

So yes I named it wrong, its actually a deck panel, I'm not sure why I said sail panel but there we are (it wont let me edit it)

We had so many issues with the remains of the old Deck panel I had left that in the end after much trying and worrying that all the expensive tooling would be slightly wrong I shelved the idea and decided to make it by hand. One of the main issues we had was the width, there was not enough left to accurately determine that so using the old very rusty boot to get the curve there or there about, I created an adjustable version that we can fiddle with on the car.

There is plenty to finish in this panel, the fuel filler, the edge curve as I have found a tiny bit of the original edge to get that right now and actually joining the two halves but I thought I would post a picture in case anyone was interested and actually reads this other than me :)
